About the Treatment

What is Veterinary Physiotherapy?

Veterinary physiotherapy is hands-on treatment that helps animals recover from surgery, manage long-term conditions like arthritis, and move the way they should. It's the same principle as physio for people — assessing how the body is moving, identifying what's not working, and using targeted treatment to put it right.

Every assessment starts with watching how your animal moves — their posture, gait, muscle tone, and where they're holding tension. From there I build a treatment plan tailored to them, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

  • Hands-on manual therapy & massage
  • Laser therapy & electrotherapy
  • Winback radiofrequency therapy
  • Targeted strengthening & rehabilitation exercises
  • Tailored home exercise programmes

About Kirsten

Reliable Veterinary Physiotherapy

Kirsten, qualified veterinary physiotherapist

I've always been drawn to animals and fascinated by the way movement affects wellbeing. After years of training and hands-on experience, I set up my clinic in Rosudgeon to offer dogs a calm, caring space where they can truly heal and thrive.

My approach is hands-on, compassionate, and completely tailored. No dog is the same, so every plan I create is built around their unique personality, condition, and lifestyle.

F.A.Q

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to common questions about my veterinary physiotherapy services.

How do I know if my dog needs physiotherapy?

+

If your dog has had surgery, shows signs of pain, stiffness, or struggles with movement, physio can support their recovery, comfort, and mobility. Even for healthy dogs, physiotherapy helps keep the body strong and identifies areas of weakness that could turn into something more serious.

Do you offer home visits or online options?

+

All in-person sessions are held at my Rosudgeon clinic, but I offer home visits for those who can't travel. I also hold clinics in Bodmin at Vets4Pets. Online consultations are available for owners who want guidance remotely.

What conditions do you treat?

+

All sorts — IVDD, arthritis, TPLO recovery, elbow dysplasia, hip dysplasia, spinal injuries, and more. I also support equine patients across Cornwall.

Can physiotherapy help older dogs?

+

Absolutely. Gentle mobility work can make a big difference in comfort, confidence, and quality of life for senior dogs.

How do I get started?

+

Just head to my contact page or give me a call on 07510 271832. I'm happy to chat about what your dog or horse needs.
